Eric Winstead

I have had the privilege of serving God in ministry since 2001 as pastor and hospice chaplain. I am passionate about teaching God’s word and teaching others how to study for themselves.

I married Kim, the woman God created for me in 1993. We have two beautiful daughters who are both married to Godly men. The Lord has also blessed us with a handsome grandson.

One of my favorite bible verses is Matthew 6:33, because it gives direction and the promise of God’s blessing. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” (NLT)

I spend my free time woodworking and also enjoy chasing the ball around the golf course.

General Job Description

Provide worshipful music for all services of the Church

which includes general oversight and direction of the music, organizing and training of the choir(s) and congregational singing.

Position Part-time

Salary Compensation based on experience.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides a mixture of worshipful music for all services.

Leads choir in all practices for worship services to include special events. Provide resource materials needed by choir and congregation. Provide input to Budget Committee for annual requirements. Work within approved budget.

Provide annual performance updates for pianist. Attends Church Council Meetings. Report Music status at quarterly business meetings. Form and lead a youth choir and/or children’s choir.

Qualifications for the job:

Ability to read and interpret music.

Musical abilities.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Born again Christian, actively serving the Lord.

Maintain a cooperative team spirit with staff, volunteers, choir, and congregation.

Must be willing to sign a code of ethics and conduct agreement.

Once hired, must join Lake Wateree Baptist Church.
